Policies How we work

How we work.

Every commitment MindBank makes — to contributors, to organizations, to community — is written down. These are the documents we hold ourselves accountable to.

These policies were drafted in 2026 as part of MindBank's pilot launch. They're versioned and reviewed annually, and the most current copy lives here.

If you are a contributor or applicant, the most directly relevant policies are the Privacy Policy, the Data Protection Policy, the Compensation Policy (sections 2, 3, 5, and 7), and the Verification and Ethics Policy.

If you are a partnering organization, see additionally the Code of Conduct and the Communications Playbook.

If anything in these documents is unclear, or you'd like a plain-language version, please reach out — these documents are meant to be readable, and we want to know if any section isn't.

For contributors

Privacy Policy

How we collect, store, and use information you share — and the rights you keep over it. Covers anonymity, contact preferences, data retention, and how we honour withdrawal of consent.

For contributors

Data Protection Policy

The technical and operational commitments we make around how your data is stored, who can access it, and how we respond if something goes wrong. Includes our data residency commitment.

For contributors

Compensation Policy

How MindBank decides who is paid, how much, when, and why. We pay for engagement, not output. The principles are designed to make MindBank ethical rather than extractive.

For contributors & orgs

Verification and Ethics Policy

How we verify contributors and partnering organizations, the ethical standards everyone agrees to, and how the Ethics Council holds MindBank accountable.

For organizations

Code of Conduct

What we expect from organizations that access MindBank insights — and what they can expect from us. The binding ethical use agreement attached to every partnership.

Internal & partners

Communications Playbook

How MindBank speaks about lived experience, contributors, and the work — in our materials, with partners, and in public. Sets the tone and the boundaries.

For everyone

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

How MindBank centres under-heard voices in its design and operation, and the commitments we make to communities whose experience we hold.
